Clementine ist eine Software für Linux, Mac OS X und Windows zum Abspielen von Audiodateien. Clementine ist eine Abspaltung des Audioplayers Amarok 1.4.10.^[1][2] Grund ist die nach Ansicht der Autoren unbefriedigende Entwicklung der Version 2 von Amarok nach dessen Portierung auf KDE Platform 4.

Clementine wurde nach Qt 4 portiert und ist damit unabhängig von KDE-Bibliotheken installierbar, es ist damit keine KDE-Applikation mehr. Weiterhin ist die Bereitstellung für die drei wichtigen Desktop-Betriebssysteme ohne großen Aufwand möglich. Funktionalität und Bedienungsführung des ursprünglichen Amarok 1.4.x wurden weitgehend übernommen und weiterentwickelt, wie die Möglichkeit der Fernbedienung durch eine Wii Remote.

Clementine is an audio player for Linux, supports a large number of audio formats. Has a built-in music Manager software. Supports listening to online radio, able to copy music on iPod, iPhone, USB player.

To install Clementine in Ubuntu run in the terminal the following command:

Again in search of the perfect player, this time I needed FLAC support, came across Clementine. Read the descriptions, looked at screenshots and decided to download and test it in action.

The first plus was the addition of one category where there is music and then the player himself were processed and sorted the music, just a nice plus for me was “Smart playlists.”
I think if you listen to the music for about a month, then it will give your favourite tracks the listening that you never listen to and the new.
